This $221,683 federal Project Grant award from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under the Continuum of Care (CoC) Program (CFDA 14.267) will support the Ministry of Caring Inc., a nonprofit organization in Wilmington, Delaware, in delivering a range of services to address homelessness.
The grant funding will enable the Ministry of Caring to provide temporary and permanent housing assistance, including transitional housing, rapid rehousing, and supportive services such as case management, job training, and transportation aid. These efforts aim to quickly rehouse homeless individuals and families while minimizing the trauma and dislocation caused by homelessness, and to promote self-sufficiency and access to mainstream resources. As part of the award, the Ministry of Caring may also use funds for homelessness prevention activities like housing relocation and stabilization services, and short- or medium-term rental assistance, for those at risk of becoming homeless.
