PROVIDING WELL LUMINATED BUS STOPS IN AREAS THAT DO NOT HAVE OTHER LIGHTING WILL ASSIST VISUALLY IMPAIRED PEOPLE AND INCREASE THE LEVEL OF SAFETY AT THE STOPS. REPLACING GLASS PANELS WITH ALUMINUM WILL ELIMINATE THE ISSUE OF BROKEN GLASS AROUND BUS STOPS WHICH CAN PREVENT A PERSON UTILIZING A MOBILITY DEVICE FROM ACCESSING THE STOP. UPGRADING BUS STOP PADS AND THE DOWNTOWN TRANSIT CENTER TO MEET ADA COMPLIANCE WILL ALLOW FOR ALL RIDERS TO ACCESS PUBLIC TRANSIT NO MATTER THEIR AGE OR ABILITY. IT WILL ALSO ASSIST IN BRINGING TRANSFORTS BUS STOPS TO 100% ADA COMPLIANCE.PROVIDING THE CONTINUED DIAL-A -TAXI SERVICE WILL BRIDGE THE GAP LEFT BY ADA PARATRANSIT SERVICE BY ALLOWING PARTICIPANTS TO BOOK SAME DAY TRIPS TRIPS OUT OF THE SERVICE AREA AND TRIPS OUTSIDE OF NORMAL SERVICE TIMES.; INTENDED BENEFICIARIES: TRANSFORT RIDERS SPECIFICALLY SENIORS AND INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES WILL BENEFIT FROM THE PROJECTS WITHIN THIS AWARD.; SUBRECIPIENT ACTIVITIES: N/A
