The City of Fresno, doing business as Fresno Area Express (FAX), was awarded a $14.2 million Project Grant from the Department of Transportation's Federal Transit Administration under the Buses and Bus Facilities Formula, Competitive, and Low or No Emissions Programs (CFDA 20.526) on July 7, 2022. The grant will fund four projects to improve FAX's paratransit and fixed route bus fleets and facilities through August 2024.
