The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) awarded a $1,718,416 Continuum of Care (CoC) Program grant (CFDA 14.267) to the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA) on March 11, 2025. The CoC Program provides funding to address homelessness through community-based strategies that quickly rehouse individuals and families while minimizing trauma and promoting self-sufficiency.
Under this grant, LAHSA will use the funds to deliver a range of eligible services and housing solutions, including outreach, emergency shelter, transitional housing, permanent supportive housing, rapid rehousing, and homelessness prevention. As the lead agency for the Los Angeles CoC, LAHSA coordinates federal, state, county, and city resources to address homelessness across the greater Los Angeles area. The grant will allow LAHSA to both directly provide these services and distribute funds to local nonprofit homeless services providers and governments to implement community-wide strategies to end homelessness.
