The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) awarded a $544,733 Continuum of Care (CoC) Program grant (CFDA 14.267) to the Los Angeles County Development Authority (LACDA) to support the agency's efforts to address homelessness in the region. The CoC Program funds may be used for a range of eligible activities, including permanent housing, transitional housing, supportive services, homeless management information systems (HMIS), and homelessness prevention.
Through this grant, LACDA will work to quickly rehouse homeless individuals and families while minimizing the trauma and dislocation caused by homelessness. The agency will also focus on promoting access to and effective utilization of mainstream programs, as well as optimizing self-sufficiency among those experiencing homelessness. The award will enable LACDA to deliver an array of housing and supportive services to the target population, though the specific subrecipient activities are unknown at this time.
