The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) awarded a $120,210 Continuum of Care Program (CFDA 14.267) project grant to the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA) on March 11, 2025. The grant funding will support LAHSA's efforts to quickly rehouse homeless individuals and families in the Los Angeles area while minimizing trauma and promoting self-sufficiency. Eligible activities under this grant include permanent housing, transitional housing, supportive services, homeless management information systems (HMIS), and homelessness prevention. As the lead agency for the Los Angeles Continuum of Care, LAHSA will use the funds to coordinate federal, state, county, and city resources to address homelessness through a comprehensive range of housing solutions and services, including outreach, emergency shelter, rapid rehousing, and homelessness prevention. The award aligns with the Continuum of Care Program's objectives to promote community-wide strategies to end homelessness.
