This $1,526,621 Project Grant awarded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 9 under the CFDA 66.126 Geographic Programs - San Francisco Bay Water Quality Improvement Fund supports the City of Sonoma's North Bay Water Quality Partnership Project. The key project activities include: Installing large and small-scale trash capture devices in four municipal stormwater systems to improve water quality and meet Phase II stormwater permit requirements. The project aims to install full trash capture devices across over 1,038 acres. Conducting habitat restoration projects to improve water quality in riparian corridors and promote the establishment of the endangered Sonoma sunshine plant species. This includes restoring 0.41 acres of seasonal wetlands, 0.55 acres of urban forest, and 10.5 acres along Corona Creek.
