The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill will receive $113,670 from the Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Community Living under the University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research, and Service program (CFDA 93.632) from April 1, 2022 through September 30, 2024. The funding will support the NC UCEDD project "Expanding the Public Health Workforce within Disability Networks" to provide interdisciplinary training for personnel serving individuals with developmental disabilities and conduct community service activities that increase inclusion of those with disabilities into community life. As one of 67 University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities across the nation, the NC UCEDD project aims to enhance public health services for people with disabilities through workforce development and other initiatives over the 27-month period.
