The World Health Organization received a $5 million project grant award from the U.S. Agency for International Development under the USAID Foreign Assistance for Programs Overseas federal grant program (CFDA 98.001) to provide health, nutrition, and humanitarian assistance to conflict-affected populations in Yemen. The one-year award running from April 14, 2023 to April 13, 2024 will support the delivery of critical medical services and food aid for vulnerable groups impacted by the ongoing conflict. As the implementing partner, WHO will leverage its expertise in emergency relief operations and coordination with local health authorities and aid partners to maximize the reach and effectiveness of this funding.
