The US Agency for International Development awarded a $1 million Project Grant to the United Nations Population Fund to strengthen continuity of sexual and reproductive health and gender-based violence services in Fiji from August 2021 through April 2023. This funding supports the USAID Foreign Assistance for Programs Overseas program (CFDA 98.001), which works to advance global health and humanitarian objectives through supporting economic growth, agriculture, trade, democracy, and conflict prevention. Under this award, UNFPA will deliver sexual and reproductive health services, as well as gender-based violence programs for local communities in Fiji, helping to ensure continuity of care in these critical areas during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
