The US Agency for International Development awarded a $4 million Project Grant to Miscellaneous Foreign Awardees for the period of October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022 to support protection and health services in Northwest Syria. The award is being made through USAID's Foreign Assistance for Programs Overseas program (CFDA 98.001), which works to promote long-term economic growth and advance US foreign policy objectives through support for health, agriculture and democracy initiatives. Funds will support the delivery of protection and health services for communities in Northwest Syria, consistent with the program's goal of providing humanitarian assistance overseas.
