The US Agency for International Development awarded a $4.25 million Project Grant to Dan Church Aid, doing business as Folkekirkens Noedhjaelp, to support humanitarian assistance programs in Syria from August 1, 2021 through July 31, 2022. The grant was awarded under the USAID Foreign Assistance for Programs Overseas program (CFDA 98.001), which aims to promote long-term economic growth and further US foreign policy goals through support for global health, agriculture and trade, democracy, and humanitarian assistance programs. Dan Church Aid will utilize the funding to deliver humanitarian relief services for Syrian communities, consistent with the program's focus on crisis and conflict prevention in the region.
