The US Agency for International Development Kosovo awarded a $6,495,922 project grant to UNICEF under the USAID Foreign Assistance for Programs Overseas program (CFDA 98.001) to support communication and outreach in support of COVID-19 prevention and vaccination efforts in Kosovo. The grant period runs from July 14, 2021 through January 12, 2024. As the sub-awardee, UNICEF will leverage its expertise and on-the-ground presence to deliver targeted communication and outreach services to help inform the people of Kosovo about COVID-19 risks and the importance of vaccination to stem the spread of the virus. The funding will aid UNICEF's work supporting public health priorities in Kosovo as part of the US government's broader foreign assistance strategy of promoting global health security and economic development.
