The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) awarded the City of Fayetteville, North Carolina a $2.26 million Project Grant under the Airport Improvement Program, Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act Programs, and COVID-19 Airports Programs (CFDA 20.106) on July 1, 2025. The grant funds the rehabilitation of 1,594 linear feet of existing paved Taxiways F and G at Fayetteville Regional Airport to maintain pavement structural integrity and extend the useful service lives of these critical airfield assets. The project is scheduled for completion by June 30, 2029.
This taxiway rehabilitation project aligns with the FAA's strategic objectives of safety and operational excellence by supporting the development and modernization of airport infrastructure necessary to meet civil aeronautics needs. The grant will provide federal funding directly to the City of Fayetteville's airport operations, enabling essential pavement maintenance work that preserves the functionality and safety of the airfield's ground infrastructure for commercial and general aviation operations.
