This $2.66 million Project Grant from the Federal Aviation Administration's Airport Improvement Program, COVID-19 Airports Programs, and Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act Programs (CFDA 20.106) will fund reconstruction projects at airports associated with Thompson Falls, Montana. Specifically, the grant will reconstruct 2,850 feet of taxiway pavement, 4,200 feet of Runway 8/26 pavement, and 8,100 square yards of apron pavement that have reached the end of their useful lives. The grant, awarded July 16, 2021 to Sanders County, will provide 100% federal funding to increase the useful lifespan of critical airport infrastructure through these reconstruction activities, with project completion expected by July 15, 2025.
