The Department of Transportation's Federal Aviation Administration awarded a $4.23 million Project Grant to the Missoula County Airport Authority under the Airport Improvement Program, COVID-19 Airports Programs, and Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act Programs (CFDA 20.106). The grant funds the ninth phase of constructing a new 145,000 square foot terminal building at Missoula International Airport in Missoula, Montana. Work will include demolition, foundation, site utility connections, vertical construction of the building exterior envelope, vertical circulation, and procurement of electrical and mechanical equipment for the east concourse. Completion is expected by June 2027. The expanded terminal building will increase passenger throughput and reduce delays, consistent with the FAA's strategic goals of safety, efficiency and customer service.
