This $176,666.67 Project Grant from the Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration Southern Region will fund an update to the existing airport master plan study for the Richmond, Kentucky airport. The Madison Airport Board, Inc. will use the funding to reflect future airport needs in their master plan as required under the Airport Improvement Program, COVID-19 Airports Programs, and Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act Programs (CFDA 20.106). These FAA grant programs contribute to the agency's strategic goals of safety, operational excellence, and supporting global aviation leadership by maintaining and improving airport infrastructure. The updated master plan study is intended to benefit the Richmond, KY airport and was awarded on July 27, 2022 with a projected completion date of July 26, 2026.
