The City of Valdosta, Georgia received a $278,163.33 Project Grant award from the Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration Southern Region. The grant was awarded under the Airport Improvement Program, COVID-19 Airports Programs, and Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act Programs (CFDA 20.106) to conduct a Terminal Area Narrative Report and Aeronautical Survey for an RNAV approach.
Specifically, the City of Valdosta will use the funding to perform a study analyzing the impacts of fleet changes on its terminal building and associated facilities. Additionally, the City will conduct an aeronautical survey of Runway 17/35 to plan for anticipated runway improvements, including a potential Area Navigation Instrument Approach. The grant aims to benefit airports associated with Valdosta, Georgia. The period of performance is July 18, 2022 through July 17, 2026.
