This Project Grant award from the National Science Foundation's (NSF) Computer and Information Science and Engineering (CISE) program (CFDA 47.070) will provide $596,140 to The Administrators of Tulane Educational Fund (Tulane University) to enhance and expand the Boa research infrastructure for analyzing ultra-large-scale software repositories like GitHub. The project, titled "COLLABORATIVE RESEARCH: CCRI: ENS: BOA 2.0: ENHANCING INFRASTRUCTURE FOR STUDYING SOFTWARE AND ITS EVOLUTION AT A LARGE SCALE", aims to further develop the Boa programming language and data mining capabilities to allow researchers and developers easier access to these massive datasets. The enhanced infrastructure will integrate with the Open Science Framework and XSEDE national computing resources to improve reproducibility and scalability of research using this software analysis platform. This award, with a period of performance from October 1, 2024 to November 30, 2025, will enable more ambitious, data-intensive scientific discovery in the field of open-source software evolution and development.
