The National Science Foundation (NSF) awarded a $129,100 Project Grant under the STEM Education (CFDA 47.076) program to The Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania, doing business as Clinical Practices of the University of Pennsylvania. The award, effective August 15, 2024 through July 31, 2026, will fund the "Collaborative Research: AGEP ACA: Critical STEM Faculty Alliance (C-STEM Alliance)" project. Through this initiative, the awardee will develop an infrastructural technology system to create more opportunities and lower systemic risks for historically underrepresented groups in STEM fields. The project aims to examine college and university functions, collect data on demographic representation and institutional challenges, and implement self-assessments to identify and address inequities affecting underrepresented minority doctoral students, postdoctoral scholars, and early career faculty in STEM disciplines.
