This Project Grant award from the National Science Foundation's (CFDA 47.049 - Mathematical and Physical Sciences) program will provide $1,140,000 to the College of William and Mary to conduct precision studies of neutrino oscillations and interactions. The research aims to make detailed measurements of neutrino properties and behaviors, which could reveal new physics beyond the Standard Model of particle physics. The award will support the use of data from the NOvA and MINERvA experiments, as well as R&D for the future DUNE long-baseline neutrino experiment. By engaging graduate and undergraduate students, the project will contribute to the development of the future technical workforce, and also includes an elementary school outreach program to expose underrepresented students to physics. The award period runs from August 15, 2024 to July 31, 2027.
