The National Science Foundation (NSF) awarded a 3-year, $200,000 Postdoctoral Fellowship under the Mathematical and Physical Sciences (CFDA 47.049) program to Dr. Bethea at Duke University. The project, "Topological Enrichments in Enumerative Geometry," will investigate equivariant enumerative geometry - using invariants from equivariant homotopy theory to generalize classical enumerative results and probe symmetries through group actions. The research activities will be conducted under the mentorship of Dr. Kirsten Wickelgren at Duke University. In addition, the Fellow will develop pre-college enrichment activities to expose underrepresented minority students to inspiring mathematics and mathematical careers. No sub-awards are planned for this project.
