The U.S. Forest Service awarded a $472,050 Project Grant under the Cooperative Forestry Assistance program (CFDA 10.664) to The Forest Stewards Guild, doing business as The Forest Trust, for the "Landscape Scale Restoration Sustaining Ash of the Northeast through Training Treatment and Outreach" project. The project aims to provide training, conduct treatment, and execute outreach to sustain ash trees in the Northeast region. As a non-profit organization specializing in forest management, conservation, and restoration, The Forest Stewards Guild will leverage its expertise to implement this 3-year initiative, which is scheduled to be completed by September 30, 2026. The Cooperative Forestry Assistance program supports a wide range of forest management and conservation activities on non-federal lands, including efforts to mitigate invasive species threats, promote sustainable forestry practices, and reduce wildfire risks.
