Chicago State University will receive $518,894 from the National Science Foundation under the STEM Education federal grant program (CFDA 47.076) to organize the 2023 Louis Stokes Alliances for Minority Participation Principal Investigators/Project Directors Meeting. The University will convene the three-and-a-half day conference in Washington, D.C. in June 2023 for LSAMP grantees and selected Bridge to the Doctorate participants. The meeting will provide a forum for updates on NSF funding opportunities and policies, and allow participants to share successful STEM broadening participation practices post-pandemic. Chicago State University will also recognize the 20th anniversary of the Bridge to the Doctorate activity and launch a Bridge to the Doctorate mentorship program in conjunction with the Louis Stokes Midwest Regional Center of Excellence.
