Auburn University was awarded a $154,006 Project Grant from the National Science Foundation under the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Education (STEM Education) program (CFDA 47.076). The grant will support the development of authentic learning modules for DevOps security education (ALAMOSE) in collaboration with Tennessee Tech University and Kennesaw State University. The modules aim to educate computer science students on integrating cybersecurity practices into software artifacts used for development and operations. Key deliverables include pre-lab content, hands-on exercises, and post-lab activities incorporated into existing cybersecurity, software engineering, and IT courses. Faculty workshops and webinars will promote adoption of the modules and gather experiential feedback. Upon completion in June 2025, the modules will be openly available on code and container sharing platforms to support cybersecurity education nationwide.
