This $747,844 project grant from the National Science Foundation's Office of Advanced Cyberinfrastructure, under the Computer and Information Science and Engineering program (CFDA 47.070), will develop a cybertraining curriculum focused on climate, water and environmental sustainability. Led by Purdue University, the collaborative project will create three levels of curriculum—foundational, expert, and developer—to train students, educators, and professionals on integrating and analyzing open data from multiple sources for climate and sustainability research. The flexible, modular curriculum can be implemented as credit courses, certificates, and degree programs. An open, online platform will disseminate the curriculum and provide access to associated tools and resources to enable broader adoption and community contributions. The training will directly engage students from five universities, three community colleges, and one high school, including minority-serving institutions. The two-year project period extends from January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2025.
