This Project Grant from the National Science Foundation's Office of Advanced Cyberinfrastructure, under the Computer and Information Science and Engineering federal grant program (CFDA 47.070), provides $174,998 to develop a set of educational modules called "courselets" focused on data systems. The University of California, San Diego will create courselets based on literate programming concepts that allow students to complete hands-on exercises exploring data acquisition, networking, storage, machine learning, analytics, and visualization. Students will be able to deploy relevant courselets through an integrated content hub to open clouds and testbeds. The project aims to establish best practices for creating, teaching, and improving these courselets to build a community of contributors across academic institutions. This will improve availability of digital educational content nationwide. The award period is from October 1, 2022 to September 30, 2025.
