The Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Children and Families awarded the State of Utah a $52.6 million Formula Grant under the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP, CFDA #93.568) for the period of October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2023. The grant funds home energy assistance, weatherization, and heat and water assistance programs administered by the Utah Department of Workforce Services, Housing and Community Development Division and sub-awarded to eleven regional and local entities. Sub-awardees will provide direct weatherization and energy assistance services to low-income households across Utah, including the Six County Association of Governments, Bear River Association of Governments, Five County Association of Governments, Southeastern Utah Association of Local Governments, Uintah Basin Association of Governments, Salt Lake Community Action Program, Mountainland Association of Governments, Private Industry Council Inc., and others.
