GREENVILLE COUNTY'S RSVP PROGRAM, SPONSORED BY SENIOR ACTION, WILL ENGAGE 75 VOLUNTEERS IN CRITICAL SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES THAT PRODUCE MEASURABLE OUTCOMES IN THE COMMUNITY. VOLUNTEERS WILL WORK IN FOUR MAIN AREAS: AMBASSADORS, SPECIAL EVENTS, CLASS INSTRUCTORS, AND HOSPITALITY. THE GOAL OF THIS PRIMARY FOCUS AREA "HEALTHY FUTURES: AGING IN PLACE" WILL STRIVE TO KEEP SENIORS ENGAGED SOCIALLY AND PHYSICALLY FOR A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE. AT THE END OF THE GRANT CYCLE, SENIOR ACTION'S RSVP PROGRAM WILL REACH OVER 1,500 PEOPLE WITH 75 VOLUNTEERS THAT WILL SHOW THROUGH EVALUATIONS THAT SENIORS' LIVES HAVE BEEN IMPROVED. THE CNCS FEDERAL INVESTMENT OF $75,000 WILL BE SUPPLEMENTED BY $32,160 IN SPONSOR RESOURCES. A TOTAL INVESTMENT OF $107,200 WILL WORK TO TRANSFORM THE LIVES OF MANY IN THE GREENVILLE COUNTY AREA.
