Florida State University was awarded a three-year, $346,340 project grant from the National Science Foundation Division of Electrical, Communications and Cyber Systems under the Engineering (47.041) federal grant program. The grant will support collaborative research titled "Interfacial Engineering for Stabilizing Hybrid Perovskites and Devices" between September 1, 2021 and August 31, 2024. The research aims to improve the quality and stability of hybrid perovskite materials and their implementation in electronic devices through interfacial engineering techniques. As part of the Engineering program's goals of fostering innovation in engineering research, this project examines approaches for enhancing hybrid perovskites, which have potential applications in solar cells and optoelectronics but require further development to address instability issues that have hindered commercialization.
