The National Science Foundation Office of Advanced Cyberinfrastructure awarded Research Triangle Institute $207,699 under the Computer and Information Science and Engineering federal grant program (CFDA 47.070) to support the EAGER: Democratizing the Use of Advanced Computational Resources project from June 1, 2021 to May 31, 2022. The goal of this Project Grant appears to be advancing the development and use of research cyberinfrastructure to enable and accelerate discovery and innovation in computing, communications, and information science and engineering.
RTI will work to democratize access to advanced computational resources through this funding. A subaward of an initial $312,018 was also provided to Brandeis University to support this effort. The subaward details suggest Brandeis University will assist RTI in delivering products or services to expand use of computational infrastructure in a manner that furthers the goals of the sponsoring federal grant program.
