This document provides scope of work to be conducted at UNLV in support of the proposal entitled "Planning Project: Amplifying Climate Resilience Curriculum Using Informal Learning Opportunities for Undergraduates" submitted to NSF by Dr. Jennifer Edmonds at Nevada State University. UNLV will support the following aspects of the proposed project: Coordination with UNLV institutional leadership regarding alignment of project goals with institutional strategic plan-Coordination with UNLV faculty in School of Education and Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Construction to achieve project goals-Planning of technology platform for project including; Meeting UNLV faculty to identify courses and topics to include climate resiliency in curriculum; Planning of zero-credit course on learning management system (Canvas) about climate resiliency; Outline the course topics and assessment strategies for student and faculty participants; Feasibility review of technologies and resources relevant to climate resiliency curriculum e.g., videos, virtual reality games, open source books and courses, and bilingual educational contents-Project website development and updates including; Web pages with project description and team member details; Web pages of previous and ongoing activities; Provisions to contact project team for additional information-Participation of UNLV personnel (faculty, staff, graduate students) in workshops to craft learning outcomes for RAICES. Specific Deliverables of this scope of work include; A report of activities performed at UNLV and the outcomes in the form of details of UNLV institutional readiness of administration, faculty, and courses for climate resiliency curriculum; A plan for a zero-credit climate resiliency course on Canvas; A project website hosted on google sites through UNLV institutional account; Payment to UNLV personnel for participation in workshops focused on learning outcomes development.
