Rowan University received a $335,900 project grant award from the National Science Foundation Office of Integrative Activities under the Mathematical and Physical Sciences program (CFDA 47.049) to acquire a multi-dimensional nano-characterization system based on a scanning probe microscope. The system will be used for multidisciplinary materials research and education from September 1, 2021 through August 31, 2023. The scanning probe microscope and associated nano-characterization capabilities will provide Rowan University researchers and students with equipment to advance understanding of materials at the nanoscale level across various scientific disciplines, in line with the goals of the NSF program to strengthen the nation's scientific enterprise through support of mathematical and physical sciences research and education.
