The National Science Foundation's National Center for Science and Engineering Statistics awarded Stanford University $401,292 under the Social, Behavioral, and Economic Sciences program (CFDA 47.075) from September 1, 2021 through August 31, 2022. The Project Grant funding will support research titled "A New Well-Being Metric in the Era of the Digital Economy" to develop metrics for assessing individual well-being considering the rise of digital technologies and their growing influence on economic and social behaviors. The work will be conducted at Stanford University's campus in Stanford, California and aims to contribute to the scientific understanding of how digitalization impacts individual well-being, as called for under the NSF program's goals of supporting basic research in the social and behavioral sciences.
