The National Science Foundation awarded a $200,000 Project Grant to support research titled "CREST-PRF: ACCESS CONTROL FRAMEWORK FOR IOT ECOSYSTEM WITH SMART HOME IOT AND INDUSTRIAL IOT CASE STUDIES" under the STEM Education program (CFDA #47.076). The two-year award beginning December 15, 2021 will develop an access control framework for Internet of Things ecosystems, with case studies focused on smart home and industrial IoT applications. The STEM Education program aims to ensure the vitality of the nation's science, technology, engineering and mathematics education enterprise through support of programs that develop the STEM workforce. Research conducted under this award will advance IoT security, an area of increasing importance as more devices are networked. The place of performance is in San Antonio, Texas.
