Drexel University received a three-year $378,391 Project Grant from the National Science Foundation under the Mathematical and Physical Sciences program (CFDA 47.049). The grant will fund research from July 2021 through June 2024 to unveil relationships between synthesis, structure and nonaqueous ion cycling in chemically preintercalated layered oxides. As part of its mission to strengthen the Nation's scientific enterprise through increased understanding of major problems, the NSF Mathematical and Physical Sciences program supports fundamental research and education in these fields. Drexel University will utilize the grant funding to conduct research that advances knowledge of material synthesis and behavior.
