The University of Central Florida Board of Trustees received a $280,628 project grant from the National Science Foundation Division of Electrical, Communications and Cyber Systems under the Engineering (47.041) federal grant program. The grant will fund research on advanced and highly integrated power conversion systems for grid stability and resiliency from May 2021 through April 2024. The goal of the research is to improve the quality and reliability of the nation's electrical grid through innovation in power conversion technologies. The University of Central Florida will serve as the primary awardee and is expected to collaborate with other organizations to develop new solutions that foster excellence in engineering and support economic strength.
