This $148,482 Project Grant from the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Under Secretary for Health supports the VA Supportive Services for Veteran Families Program (CFDA 64.033). The Eastern Carolina Homelessness Organization, Inc. will use the funding to provide supportive services to very low-income Veteran families residing in or transitioning to permanent housing.
As required by the program, the organization will deliver outreach, case management, and assistance obtaining VA and other public benefits. The grant also enables optional temporary financial assistance paid directly to third parties for childcare, emergency housing, transportation, rent/utility payments, security deposits, moving costs, and general housing stability support including emergency supplies. These services aim to help very low-income Veteran families maintain housing stability as outlined in 38 CFR Part 62.
