The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), through its VA Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) Program (CFDA 64.033), has awarded a $2,006,831 Project Grant to the non-profit organization Path (doing business as P A T H) to provide a range of supportive services to very low-income veteran families. Path will coordinate or deliver services including outreach, case management, assistance obtaining VA and public benefits, and temporary financial assistance for housing-related costs such as rent, utilities, security deposits, and moving expenses. Optional supportive services may also include legal assistance and financial management counseling. The comprehensive services aim to rapidly re-house homeless veterans and their families, provide homelessness prevention support, and ensure self-sufficiency in permanent housing situations.
