The National Science Foundation awarded a $255,996 Project Grant to Sitration, Inc. under the Engineering federal grant program (CFDA 47.041) to support development of mobile produced water recycling technologies for reducing costs in natural gas production. Sitration will use the one-year award, issued on May 1, 2021, to advance its work on recycling flowback and produced water onsite to minimize waste and lower overall production expenses. The NSF Directorate for Engineering seeks to foster innovation in engineering research and applications to benefit the U.S. economy, and this award supports Sitration's efforts to design portable water treatment systems for natural gas operators.
