World Farmers will allocate 12.4% of the total award budget, or approximately $92,800, to four partner organizations - UMass Cooperative Extension, Land for Good, Rural Coalition, and the Lancaster Community Center - that will directly assist with various aspects of the project according to the goals and objectives. Previous BFRDP grants awarded to World Farmers focused on similar services for beginning farmers. The current award addresses 10 of the 15 BFRDP priority areas and will exclusively serve socially disadvantaged and limited-resource farmers through nonprofit, community-based, and socially disadvantaged groups.
