The National Science Foundation awarded Bridgewater State University a $299,999 Project Grant under the STEM Education (formerly Education and Human Resources) program (CFDA 47.076) on May 15, 2021. The grant will support the university's PREPARING ELEMENTARY PRE-SERVICE TEACHERS TO SUPPORT STEM SUCCESS FOR ENGLISH LEARNERS project through April 30, 2024. This project aims to develop Bridgewater State's elementary pre-service teachers' capacity to support science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) learning for English learners. The NSF STEM Education program seeks to ensure the vitality of the nation's STEM education enterprise by funding initiatives like this project that develop teacher skills and support student participation in STEM fields.
