THE OUTAGAMIE RSVP PROJECT INTENDS TO SUPPORT 300 RSVP MEMBERS ANNUALLY ACROSS OUTAGAMIE COUNTY TO HELP ADDRESS CRITICAL COMMUNITY NEEDS FOR OUR AGING ADULT POPULATIONS. THE PRIMARY FOCUS OF OUR PROJECT IS HEALTHY FUTURES AND, TO MEET OUR PROGRAMMATIC GOALS, AT LEAST 100 RSVP VOLUNTEERS WILL BE PLACED IN OUTCOME ASSIGNMENTS WHICH INCLUDE PROVIDING RIDES TO COMMUNITY APPOINTMENTS, VISITING HOMEBOUND INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE DIFFICULTY LEAVING THEIR RESIDENCE, AND DELIVERING AND SERVING MEALS. ANOTHER WAY WE SUPPORT OUR AGING POPULATION IS TO ENGAGING THEM IN OUR STRONG BODIES EXERCISE CAMPAIGN WHICH HELPS INCREASE BALANCE AND REDUCE INJURIES. PARTNERSHIPS ARE ANOTHER WAY WE ACHIEVE OUR GOALS. WE PLAN TO PARTNER WITH HABITAT FOR HUMANITY TO HELP WITH THE CONSTRUCTION OF HOMES TO PROVIDE SAFE, STABLE HOUSING TO THOSE WHO NEED IT. RSVP OUTAGAMIE WILL ALSO BE PARTNERING WITH A LOCAL SENIOR CENTER TO SUPPORT A NEW TELECARE-TYPE OUTREACH INITIATIVE WHICH WILL EXPAND HOME VISITS AND REDUCE SOME OF THE BURDENS WHICH CAREGIVERS EXPERIENCE. THROUGH THIS PROGRAM, RSVP OUTAGAMIE WILL FILL A UNIQUE NICHE BY ENSURING SENIORS GET THE SUPPORT THEY NEED WHILE REMAINING INDEPENDENT, SAFE, AND LIVING IN THE LEAST RESTRICTIVE SITUATION POSSIBLE. THROUGH THESE INTENTIONAL INTERVENTIONS, OUR MEMBERS WILL PROVIDE INCREASED SOCIAL SUPPORT TO OVER 493 OLDER ADULTS LIVING INDEPENDENTLY OVER OUR THREE YEAR GRANT CYCLE. THE CNCS FEDERAL INVESTMENT OF $ 84,143 WILL BE SUPPLEMENTED BY $39,873.00 OF NON-FEDERAL RESOURCES.
