This federal Project Grant award of $150,000 from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) under the Promotion of the Arts Grants to Organizations and Individuals program (CFDA 45.024) supports the "I Deserve It!" program administered by the Ashe Cultural Arts Center in Louisiana. The program trains local artists and culture bearers to serve as community health workers. The funding will support this initiative over a 2-year period from January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2026. The project aims to provide opportunities for community members to participate in the arts and arts education, as well as integrate the arts with strategies to promote community well-being and resilience.
