ADAMSVILLE, TN 38310 425 RSVP VOLUNTEERS WILL SERVE. OF THIS NUMBER, 150 RSVP VOLUNTEERS WILL BE PLACED IN OUTCOME ASSIGNMENTS. SOME OF THEIR ACTIVITIES WILL INCLUDE DISTRIBUTING FOOD THROUGH FOOD BANKS, SORTING AND SELLING DONATIONS TO 4 THRIFT STORES TO HELP FUND RESOURCES FOR ASSISTANCE WITH RENT AND UTILITIES, HELP WITH OTHER FUNDRAISING EVENTS, AND ASSIST WITH FINANCIAL COUNSELING. THE PRIMARY FOCUS OF THIS PROJECT IS HEALTHY FUTURES ADDRESSING FOOD INSECURITY. AT THE END OF THE THREE-YEAR GRANT, 80% OF THE 3300 FAMILIES THAT WE HELPED WITH FOOD, UTILITIES AND/OR RENT WILL SHOW THEY ARE FOOD SECURE BY BEING ABLE TO KEEP THEIR UTILITIES PAID. THE CNCS FEDERAL ANNUAL INVESTMENT OF $64,105 WILL BE SUPPLEMENTED BY $30,880 PER YEAR IN NON-FEDERAL RESOURCES. WE WILL RECRUIT SENIORS, 55+, AS VOLUNTEERS TO USE THEIR LIFETIME EXPERIENCES, TALENTS AND SKILLS TO SUPPORT ACTIVITIES OF 25 LOCAL AGENCIES ADDRESSING PROBLEMS THAT IMPACT OUR COMMUNITIES. COLLECTIVELY OUR VOLUNTEERS WILL DONATE ABOUT 90,000 HOURS EACH YEAR. OUR COMMUNITY WILL HAVE BASIC NEEDS MET, SUCH AS SAFETY, FOOD AND SHELTER, OUR SENIORS WILL FEEL THE SPIRIT OF CONCERN BY UNDERSTANDING THEIR NEED TO BE INDEPENDENT, AND WILL FEEL A RENEWED SENSE OF PURPOSE, DIGNITY, AND ENERGY FROM BEING VALUED.
