The National Endowment for the Arts awarded a $100,000 project grant to the National Art Education Association to support personnel expenses in response to and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. The grant falls under the Promotion of the Arts Grants to Organizations and Individuals program (CFDA 45.024), which aims to support opportunities for participation in the arts and arts education, integrate the arts with strategies promoting well-being and community resilience, and build capacity and infrastructure within the arts sector. The grant will allow NAE to cover staffing costs through December 2023 as it works to advance art education during and after the pandemic.
