The U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration awarded a $100,000 project grant to the Trumbull County Tourism Bureau, Inc. under the Economic Adjustment Assistance program (CFDA 11.307) on March 29, 2022. The funding will support development of the Trumbull County Regional Tourism Strategic Recovery Plan covering five cities, six villages, and 24 townships in Ohio. The plan will establish short, medium, and long-term tourism development strategies to reinforce the region's competitiveness and achieve greater prosperity, stability, and sustainability. Upon completion, the project aims to assist the region's recovery and increase resilience to fluctuations in tourism, thereby helping to generate employment opportunities, preserve existing jobs, spur private investment, and advance overall economic resiliency.
