The Georgia Tech Research Corporation will receive $3.2 million from the Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration under the Economic Adjustment Assistance program to establish the Georgia AI Manufacturing (GA-AIM) Coalition through January 2027. The funding will support integrating artificial intelligence technologies across Georgia's legacy industrial sectors by establishing an AI manufacturing pilot facility at Georgia Tech and expanding job training opportunities in AI for underserved communities. The GA-AIM Coalition aims to accelerate the adoption of automation in manufacturing while ensuring these systems complement existing workers, serving as a national model. The investment is intended to develop and strengthen regional industry clusters embracing economic equity, good-paying jobs, and enhanced U.S. competitiveness globally. Tag Education Collaborative Inc. will assist with coalition projects.
