The Economic Development Administration awarded a $29.3 million Project Grant to the Osceola County Board of County Commissioners under the Economic Adjustment Assistance program. The funding will support boosting the semiconductor industry cluster in Central Florida by accelerating growth at NeoCity, a 5,000-acre technology park developed in partnership with the state. Specifically, the County will upgrade capabilities at the Center for Neovation Advanced Manufacturing Facility to expand research and production. It will also work to align local education and training programs with needs of the region's semiconductor manufacturers. Once implemented, the investment is expected to help develop and strengthen regional industry clusters while embracing economic equity, creating good-paying jobs, and enhancing U.S. competitiveness globally. The period of performance is July 2026.
