The Environmental Protection Agency Region 1 awarded the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES) a $222,222 Project Grant under the Superfund State, Political Subdivision, and Indian Tribe Site-Specific Cooperative Agreements program (CFDA 66.802). The grant will support NHDES's response program under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) from September 1, 2022 to August 31, 2023. Activities include program management, legal assistance, fiscal and contract management, health and safety training for staff, medical monitoring for staff, travel, updating plans and reports, and maintaining accounting systems to conduct CERCLA implementation activities.
